Nací en 1955 en Bélgica, en un pequeño pueblo de la bella Flandes llamado Tielt.

 Pero toda mi juventud viví en Pittem, el pueblo vecino a Tielt.

 Comencé mi vida artística a los 15 años, cuando conocí a un miembro de la conocida familia   artística Claerhout.

 Ese hombre y yo fuimos la base del grupo artístico "Ter Cauwe", que aún sigue en activo.

 Las circunstancias de la vida, el trabajo, me hicieron cambiar... pero no impidieron seguir mi   camino artístico.

 Fue la base, aunque con periodos "muertos" a nivel artístico, que he seguido desarrollando     toda mi vida. La muerte de mi madre, cuando yo tenía 17 años, tuvo un gran impacto en mí.   Cuatro años más tarde perdí a mi hermana major. Estos acontecimientos cambiaron       profundamente mi vida. Mi forma de pensar, queda transmitida en mis obras. Graves   problemas de salud tampoco fueron suficientes para pararme. Sigo trabajando siempre para   mejorar mi pintura, estudiando el milagro de la vida, dibujando y pintando mis personajes,   buscando el lenguaje corporal, la mirada, el espejo de la vida y su sentido, intentando   comprender mejor el mundo. Soy un pintor clásico, admirando los Maestro Antiguos,   sobretodo de los siglos XV - XVIII.

 I was born in 1955 in Belgium, in a small village in beautiful Flanders called Tielt.

 But all my youth I lived in Pittem, the village next to Tielt.

 I started my artistic life at the age of 15, when I met a member of the well-known Claerhout   artistic family.

 That man and I were the basis of the artistic group "Ter Cauwe", which is still active today.

 Life circumstances, work, made me change... but did not stop me from following my artistic   path.

 It was the basis, albeit with "dead" periods on an artistic level, which I have continued to   develop throughout my life. The death of my mother, when I was 17 years old, had a great   impact on me. Four years later I lost my older sister. These events profoundly changed my life.   My way of thinking is conveyed in my works. Serious health problems were not enough to   stop me either. I am always working to improve my painting, studying the miracle of life,   drawing and painting my characters, looking for the body language, the look, the mirror of   life and its meaning, trying to understand the world better. I am a classical painter, admiring   the Old Masters, especially from the XV - XVIII centuries.
